A video review / walkthrough / showoff video of Mega Man 4 (NES), with retrospective audio commentary. Part 6 of 7: Dr. Cossack stage 4 (continued) and Dr. Wily stages 1 through 3. Highlights include ridiculous voice acting, a perfect run of the first Dr. Wily stage with almost no assistance from Rush or special weapons, a damage-free battle against the gumball machine boss of the second Dr. Wily stage, a perfect kill on Drill Man, and a bad song parody.

Hey! Always glad to see people get my obscure references. Especially when I have to SING them.
MacArthur Park reference. Rofl.
Hooray, and thank you! I’ve been finding more and more with the games, movies, etc. that I love, it’s the little things that make all the difference, so I like to make that mentality part of what I do here, too.
Concerning Bright Man: WHAAAAAAT??? I KNEW there had to be something! I’ve noticed that certain robot masters have weird triggers for their patterns, but that’s news to me. Thank you, and thank Roahm Mythril! Gotta try that now…
OMG, I know the reference to the song 9:33! XDDD
Your videos are great. I want to let you know that I DO appreciate when you show the “little things”.
PS- I don’t know if you are aware, but bright man’s health determines when he freezes time. I learned this from Roahm Mythril on YouTube.
It turns out that if you shoot him ONCE with an uncharged megabuster shot at the start, then you can rainflush him to death and he will NEVER stop time.
@GeminiLaser hm yeah…the nes controller was so small it was just d-pad a b select start. now we get losta buttons :P
Now the n64 controller was interesting-it was a great idea, and i liked it, but for certain games it mightve been able to work better for…actually, it might just be because im now used to my gamecube controller when i play super smash bros lol
and have you played megaman 64?
I agree with the button-mashing L and R bit. The Wiimote bothers me no matter which way you point it; the NES and SNES have the best controllers for me, though I do like the GameCube controller. Really, it’s all about having a controller that makes sense with the kinds of games you’re playing. I play 2-D platformers, so… yeah.
@GeminiLaser huh i never thought of it that way…i think that the gamecube controller is possibly my favorite controller ever…except for the L and R buttons. i like them, but too many games didnt make use of holding down the button slightly, so it can get annoying to mash the button down…and megaman 9 is only the best with the wiimote to the side :D
I’m a Nintendo-only guy, so I have it for the GameCube. The controller really isn’t designed for 2-D platformers to begin with, but I didn’t mind the button swap so much because, if muscle memory serves, it’s the same jump/shoot configuration as Metroid Prime. Once I started thinking of it that way, it wasn’t so bad.
@GeminiLaser on the gamecube version of it, they swapped the jump and shoot buttons, so dont buy it for the gamecube cuz itll be hard to get used to (watched a review of the game)
AND FLIPTOP GAVE YOU SOMETHING USEFUL :D
Whoops! I was just trying to go for a really bad Russian accent!
And lol tha “voice acting”!
You sweared in my language how you said “FATHER”
Fasz means Dick xD
Glad to know I’m not the only one. :D
Yeah, I wish they kept track past 9!
lol you had like 13 E-tanks
Eyebrows, eyebrows, eyebrows…LOL! I sing to themes, too.
Happy to help!
If you can’t find Mega Man 4 for the NES, look for the Mega Man Anniversary Collection (if you have a PS2, GameCube, or XBox, that is). It’s got Mega Man 1-8 and the two arcade games, though there are some minor problems with a few of the ports.
you made me play mega man have 1 2 3 and i cant find number 4 its odd also thanks for the tips
