   I have to interrupt the current run of garden photos with this picture of Teds. I was listening to the radio in the car the other day and they played "Me and My Teddy Bear" sung by Rosemary Clooney. Well, I was instantly transported back to my childhood home listening to the children’s hour radio programmes on what was ‘The Home Service’ (now Radio 4). The tune has been playing in my head ever since.

   Teds definitely has no hair and at one point in his life he only had one eye (but we got him a new set). And yes, we could ‘just play and play all day’.

   I too am transported to another era. If I heard theme to ‘Listen with Mother’ (with Daphne Oxenhome) I might not be able to return tback to the present at all.

   We asked our Mummy if she remembered that tune, she did……..now we have to find a way of stopping her singing it to us all day long!! :)

   I’m sorry Growler and everyone, there is no escape. We will be singing ‘Me and my teddy bear, have no worries, have no cares…’ until our batteries run out. ;)

   We never heard that song but we think the words are bery sweet. Maybe Daddy can find the song for us online…

    He looks just like my Edward Robinson – you can see him on my flickr with his wife – I wonder if they are from the same maker.

    Hi Goblincake, your Edward certainly does look like Teds. He could be a younger cousin, there’s an age gap of about 10 years.

    There’s nothing like the love of a teddy bear and you have a very special one. I’ve never heard the song. I’ll go look it up.
